Mental health for students
Supporting meaningful access to resources and services for students who need them.
I'm proud to put my name forward as a candidate for Durham District School Board Trustee in Whitby, and I'm asking for your support on October 26.
I currently live in Brooklin. This community has given so much to me and my family over the years, and I believe in giving back.
For the past 11 years, I've worked in real estate, serving Whitby, Durham Region and the GTA in both residential and commercial real estate. Through my team, The Durham Region Real Estate Group (The DR Group), community involvement and connecting people have always been at the heart of what we do.
Over the years, I've seen firsthand the incredible opportunities that exist in our community, and I've also seen opportunities that can be missed.
I want to bring that community perspective to the Durham District School Board. I want a front-row seat to the challenges facing our students, families and educators, and I want to work toward making sure our students have every opportunity to succeed.
Practical priorities, shaped by 36 years in this community.
Supporting meaningful access to resources and services for students who need them.
Expanding awareness and access to careers that offer strong opportunities in an evolving economy, including the skilled trades, healthcare and careers that are less vulnerable to automation and AI.
Working toward greater transparency and making board budget information more accessible and understandable to the community.
I'm running because our students deserve every opportunity to succeed, and our community deserves a trustee who listens, connects and works to make a difference. Will Ellis, candidate for DDSB Trustee, Whitby
